Like most of the world, I’ve been glued to the Olympics the past few weeks. It is both inspiring and humbling to see what other humans are capable of. Every athlete has a story – unique to them yet sharing the collective ambition, grit, and talent that led them each to this moment in history. Whew. It’s a lot to wrap your head around.  

I think about the village it takes to nurture each athlete. Not only the coaches, but the doctors, nutritionists, trainers, therapists, and support systems of friends and family. While I’m sure it’s technically possible to take on the grueling task of preparing your body, mind, and spirit to compete against the best in the world, it has to be a relief to share that load with others – many of whom are specialists – that are also invested in your success.
